George E. Willock has been in the estate planning, financial planning, and charitable planning field for the past 41 years, practicing, speaking, teaching, and training people across America and in Guatemala. As an integral part of his work, he has taught, trained, and coached others on how to build better relationships with others and how to identify and build on their own talents and strengths.
The underlying success of his work has been his personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Having become a Christian while a freshman in college, he worked with Campus Crusade for Christ (now known as CRU) as a student, joining their staff after graduation. Working as a staff member, Campus Director, and Area Administrator with Campus Crusade, he began his lifelong pursuit of evangelism and discipleship. Throughout his professional career, he has spoken, taught, trained, studied, and practiced his love of evangelism and discipleship through churches and para-church organizations. Working for 15 years in the fields of estate and financial planning as both a representative and a manager of others, his consistent goal was to reduce and eliminate the burden of taxes, identify and provide solutions for family continuance of assets, and build better relationships within these families. In 1994 he transitioned from estate and financial planning to the charitable planning field, specializing in planned giving. Creating his consulting firm at this time, he worked with over 40 charitable organizations both nationally and internationally. In 2000, he joined Auburn University as the Director of the Office of Trusts, Estates, and Gift Planning. While at Auburn University he and his team raised over $650 million in planned gifts with $98 million of those gifts coming from charitable life insurance and over $30 million in cash gifts. Today there are over 300 insurance policies valued in excess of $112 million with more than 90% of these policies self-paying to age 120. In 2014, Willock left Auburn University to co-found WWLC, LLC as a resource and consultant to charitable organizations; to train people how to identify and build on their talents and strengths; and to teach through observable behavior of others how relationships among family members, co-workers, or teams can be improved. Willock has completed his Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designation, the Life Underwriter’s Training Council Fellowship® (LUTCF®) designation, is a graduate of the National Planned Giving Institute (NPGI), completed the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy ® (CAP®) designation, has earned the Accredited Estate Planner’s® (AEP®) designation, and is a TRACOM Certified SOCIAL STYLE Model® & Versatility Instructor. His articles have appeared in several publications, and his Charitable Life Insurance Program was part of the curriculum for the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) designation at The American College of Financial Services in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Willock has been a regional and national speaker, instructing professional and lay people on Philanthropic Planning with Life Insurance, building successful interpersonal relationships with SOCIAL STYLES®, and identifying, coaching, and training others on their talents and strengths with Gallup’s Clifton Model of Strengths Based Assessment. Willock has created a unique method of combining two scientifically researched systems - each designed to improve their self and others - for mutual success. TRACOM’S SOCIAL STYLE AWARENESS® is designed to help people identify behavior, know how their behavior affects others, and how to moderate their behavior to best work with others in the other person’s behavioral style. Gallup’s Clifton Model of Strengths Based Leadership Assessment and program is designed to help people identify their talents and strengths, build on those strengths as a leader, and maximize their strengths on a team. Based on these scientific findings a person’s behavior style and their talents are given to each person by God at their birth. Willock is available to teach and train members of your team so that the greatest potential of your team can be realized and made useful to themselves and others. |
